The Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) standards provide a framework for understanding the knowledge, skills, and professional practices expected of instructional design and educational technology professionals. These standards emphasize the ability to create, implement, evaluate, and manage technology-supported learning environments that improve learning and performance outcomes.
The artifacts included in this portfolio demonstrate my development across the five AECT standards: Content Knowledge, Content Pedagogy, Learning Environments, Professional Knowledge and Skills, and Research. Each section highlights projects and assignments completed during my graduate studies in Learning Design and Technology that reflect the application of instructional design theory, technology integration, and research-informed practice.
Throughout this program, I have had the opportunity to design learning experiences that apply foundational theories of learning, multimedia design principles, motivational design strategies, and data-informed evaluation methods. These projects required the use of various technologies and instructional strategies to address real-world learning challenges and support effective learning outcomes.
The artifacts included in this portfolio illustrate my ability to analyze learning needs, design instructional solutions, implement technology-enhanced learning experiences, and evaluate their effectiveness. Together, they represent my growth as a reflective practitioner who is capable of integrating theory, technology, and design to support meaningful learning.
